Today: We have reached the midpoint of the semester, so we opened class with a discussion about your experience at FPU so far. You then filled out a Plus/Delta Chart assessing the first half of the course. Thank you for all your comments. Or main class discussion surrounded Unit 1 of the Common Reader: Learning Styles & Strategies. We focused on the three main learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic). To demonstrate each we did an exercise to show how each can be applied and how each can deceive us.

Homework: Take the left/right brain assessment. We will use this as a basis for our our discussion on Friday.

Today: We started class by discussing the group projects/presentations that will begin in 3 weeks. If you have any further questions regarding this assignment please see me. You then took a Plus/Delta Chart assessing the first half of the course so far. Thank you for all your comments. Our main discussion focused on Chapter 2 of The Corporation:
-Corporate Social Responsibility platforms
-CSR platforms being used as an advertising tool
-"Capitalism with a conscience"

Homework: Quiz based on Chapters 1, 2, 3 (see study guide below). Please read & be ready to discuss Chapter 3. Answer this: A bookworm eats from the first page of the first volume of an encyclopedia collection to the last page of the last volume. The bookworm eats in a straight line. The encyclopedia collection consists of ten 1000-page volumes and is sitting on a bookshelf in the usual order. Not counting covers, title pages, etc., how many pages does the bookworm eat through?
