TODAY:
-Chapter 1 discussion questions 1-6 were due.
-We began a discussion of Chapter 1.  Our discussion focused on why a healthy lifestyle program is so important.

HOMEWORK:
-Mikayla will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-Answer the following Chapter 1 Discussion Questions:
7) What are & explain the 2 categories of physical fitness?
8) What is the difference between health fitness & physical fitness?
9) What 3 important points do the National Health Objectives of 2010 address?
10) According to the WHO, what factors account for the US ranking 24th out of 191 nations in healthy life expectancy?
11) Define moderate physical activity.  According to the Federal Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, how much moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity should an adult (18-64) do a week?
12) What is one of the main reasons that the US health care system ranks only 37th in the world?
-Take the Wellness Lifestyle Questionnaire on pages 27 & 28.  Be ready to discuss your scores.
