WEDNESDAY 12/5
IC101 Today: We discussed the outline for Paper/Project #4. The following is the assignment description: In class we watched 2 video clips; one was based on the “Everest Boys” and one was based on the Adidias “Impossible is Nothing” campaign. In the Everest Boys clip they are quoted as saying, “everyone has their own Everest.” In the Impossible is Nothing clip we learn how athletes were able to achieve major goals by first having to navigate obstacles. For this assignment I want you to reflect on what your “Everest” will be during your college career and how you plan to “climb” it. Basically, what is your ultimate goal for college, and what will the obstacles be to achieving it? Here’s the catch, I want you to demonstrate this through a project without using words. You can create a piece of art, a collage, etc, but whatever you choose you must demonstrate the goal and its obstacles without using words. This project will be accompanied by a 3 page paper explaining to me the piece of work, the goal, and the obstacles.
Homework: Contact Dan and set up a filming/editing schedule for the Civic Engagement Project.
