-We began a discussion of Chapter 1. We talked about the reasons why Americans have such poor health, and the factors that affect health.

-Answer the following Chapter 1 Part C Discussion Questions:
1) According to the WHO, what factors account for the US ranking 24th out of 191 nations in healthy life expectancy?
2) Define moderate physical activity and according to the Federal Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, how much moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity should an adult (18-64) do a week?
3) What is one of the main reasons that the US health care system ranks only 37th in the world?
4) Take the Wellness Lifestyle Questionnaire on page 27 & 28.

This blog will be a daily online journal for class. I will post notes about what we discussed in class, what we will be doing in the next class, and reminders of upcoming assignments.
