-Take home Quiz #6 due.

-The Corporation Chapter 2 discussion questions due.

-We reviewed our Chapter 1 discussion from last week & began a discussion on branding.

HOMEWORK:

-We will finish our discussion of Chapter 1 at the beginning of class on Thursday and then move into Chapter 2. Because discussion pretty much sucked today, we did not get as far as I wanted to. Therefore, we will not be able to start a discussion of Chapter 3 until next Tuesday, so the Chapter 3 Discussion Questions listed below will be due next Tuesday. Make sure you have the Chapter 2 Discussion Questions answered and with you for class this Thursday.

-Chapter 2 Discussion Questions (Thursday 4/7):

1) In your opinion, is it possible for a corporation to meet the needs of its stockholders, customers, employees, and environment? Can/Should corporations care about more than just profits?

2) Explain what happened in the Dodge v. Ford case.

3) Explain what the Kyoto Protocol is.

4) What does it mean to say corporations are psychopathic? What are the psychopathic traits of corporations?

5) Explain what "capitalism with a conscience" is. How does Pfizer exemplify the concept?

6) Choose a company that you are a customer of and that you like. Look on their website for their Corporate Social Responsibility plan. What is one component of the plan that sticks out to you?

-Chapter 3 Discussion Questions (Tuesday 4/12):

1) What is an externality?

2) Explain what happened in the Anderson v. General Motors case.

3) What is the "science of exploitation?"

4) In your own words, define ethics.
