-Read The Corporation Chapter 3 & answer the following Discussion Questions:
1) Explain what an "externality" is.
2) Explain what happened in the Anderson v. General Motors case.
3) What is meant by "the science of exploitation?"
4) What happened in the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory disaster?
5) What was passed in 1938 by President Roosevelt's administration that banned sweatshops, child labor, & industrial homework?

I am an Instructor in the Sports & Recreation Management program at Franklin Pierce. This is my 8th year teaching college level classes; my 5th at FPU. My industry experience includes minor league hockey and baseball, Red Bull, and Nike.
This blog will be a daily online journal for class. I will post notes about what we discussed in class, what we will be doing in the next class, and reminders of upcoming assignments. There is an old Chinese proverb that says: "Teachers open the door. You enter by yourself." This blog follows this proverb.
