WEDNESDAY 9/12

MK201 
TODAY:
-Chapter 1 discussion questions 1-13 were due.
-We began a discussion of Chapter 1.  We did a group exercise to demonstrate the importance of marketing in a society where consumers have a lot of choice.

HOMEWORK:
-Joe Bevilacqua will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-Answer the following Chapter 1 Discussion Questions:
14) What is the "marketing concept?"
15) What are the 3 basic ideas of the marketing concept?
16) Define "customer value."
17) Why are low price & high customer value not always the same thing?
18) Should all consumer needs be satisfied?  Explain.

GLE101
TODAY:
-There was no homework due.
-We had a class debate about the use of cell phones in class.

HOMEWORK:
-Bradley Dumais will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-We will meet in the cafeteria on Friday for our first breakfast roundtable discussion.  Please answer the following question on the notecard that I provided you:
"What is your biggest fear about coming to college? Explain."
-For class on Monday, develop your own cell phones in class policy as if you were a professor at FPU.

TODAY:
-Drucker article discussion questions were due.
-Drucker Chapter 1 discussion questions 1-3 were due.
-We began a discussion of Drucker Chapter 1.  We took a look at successful organizations today & what makes them successful.

HOMEWORK:
-Ryan Bobillo will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-Answer Drucker Chapter 1 discussion questions 4-10.

TODAY:
-The 9/11 & sports article discussion questions were due.
-We began watching the documentary: 9 Innings From Ground Zero.  I handed out discussion questions for you to answer as you watched.

HOMEWORK:
-Rachel Allen will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-Answer the following Discussion Questions for Friday.
