WEDNESDAY 10/24

MK201
TODAY:
-Chapter 6 discussion questions 1-7 were due.
-We finished our discussion of Chapter 5. Our discussion focused on the social variables that influence a consumer's decision making process.

HOMEWORK:
-Anthony Peguero will bring in a current event for us to discuss next Wednesday.
-No new discussion questions.
-We will start class off on Friday with a quiz and then we will review for Monday's exam.

GLE101
TODAY:
-Nothing new was due.
-We finished our discussion of Unit 2 by looking at the potential negative issues in organized youth sports, as well as Professor Ley's blog post about FPU athletics.

HOMEWORK:
-Claudia Oliva will bring in a current event for us to discuss next Wednesday.
-Blog Post #4 is due on Friday.
-We will have a breakfast roundtable discussion in the cafeteria on Friday. I forgot to hand out notecards, so on a piece of paper please list the top 5 songs that would make your ultimate playlist.
-Exam #1 based on Units 1 & 2 will be next Monday. You will be able to use notes and homework.

TODAY:
-No new discussion questions were due.
-We continued discussing Drucker Chapter 5. Our discussion focused on employee motivation.

HOMEWORK:
-Emily Olsen will bring in a current event for us to discuss.
-Watch the following clip by Dan Pink about motivation. The Puzzle of Motivation
-There will not be any new discussion questions due for Friday.  Instead, we will finish our discussion of Chapter 5. I will assign Chapter 7 discussion questions on Friday, & they will be due next Monday. We will discuss Chapter 7 next Monday, review for the exam next Wednesday, & then take the exam next Friday.

-We continued our discussion of Chapter 5 by discussing the similarities & differences between managers & leaders.

HOMEWORK:
-Brandon Knight will bring in a current event for us to discuss next Wednesday.
-No new discussion questions.
-We will begin class on Friday with a quiz and then review for Monday's exam.
