Today: Absolutely horrible discussion. I would suggest changing your approach to class next week. We began class with a quiz based on the material we discussed this week from Chapter 8 and the corresponding articles. We then watched a movie based on concessions at MLB stadiums. Click here. We finished class with a discussion based on the following:
-Alcohol management
-Alcohol sales strategies
-4 M's of retail
-3 strategies for effective store layout
-Ticket sales: escalator approach
Homework: I strongly suggest reading and being ready to discuss the first half of Chapter 9 for Tuesday. Focus on:
-The 2 most widely used methods of promotion.
-4 critical areas managers should focus on with their customers.
-Customer rankings (MVC, MGC, BZ).
-2 keys to financial stability (chapter title).
-"Drip Irrigation": method to show customers you care.
Enjoy the weekend.
